This collection consists of photographs taken by Marion Cave while she was a research associate in the Department of Botany at the University of California, Berkeley.  The photographs are posed head shots of department faculty, staff, grad students, and visiting researchers.

This collection consists of correspondence, notes, and newsletters relating to the Index to Plant Chromosome Numbers, a publication started by botanists in the 1950s to provide an index of all original plant chromosome counts published in the world's literature. Material was compiled by Dr. Donald E. Stone, reviewer for the Index.
