Half-way House to Low Gap - Abies grandis is at Half-way House. I noticed but a few trees scattered here and there. ::::::::: June 29, 1903. - May Weed at Low Gap, about the old barns at stopping place -- every ray of the head turns straight down around the stem at night! The nights here are quite cold. No. 2235. Madia. [gracilis (Smith) Keck] Open spots in woods. Rays citron-color (pale yellow), 5 to 7; 1 1/2 lines long. Fls opening in early morning, closing in the afternoon. -- Low Gap. No. 2236. Navarretia. [squarrosa H. & A.] Odor very pungent and disagreeable. With preceding. - Ceanothus incanus -- noted one shrub at Low Gap.
