Table Mountain 2000 ft., near Sonora. ---------- No. 6421. Sidalcea hirsuta Gray. Petals erect! each one reduplicate so that in cross horizontal section one would have five [see image for drawing] in a circle with the points toward the centre. The "pistillate" flowers have smaller corollas than the "staminate". No. 6422. Gratiola ebracteata Benth Corolla white, obscurely 2-lipped, 5-lobed. I see only one stamen on throat or tube of corolla dissected. See below. Style included. Stigmas 2. Ovary 2-celled with large placentae and numerous ovules. Stamens 2! very short, half as long as the style and inserted midway of the cor. tube. Calyx ::::::::: June 9, 1915, 2000 ft. ---------- lobes nearly or quite distinct. Pool beds.
