Wyethia angustifolia Nutt. Open field in clay soil. No. 6291. Peucedanum Vaseyi C. & R. With preced. No. 6292. Collinsia bicolor Benth. Upper lip white above the crest, or usually the upper third the color of the lower lip (crimson). Upper pair of stamens with lower third strongly ciliate on upper margin, the filaments produced at base into slender appendages free beyond base of filaments. Lower stamens glabrous or very slightly ciliate at very base. Gland conic. -- Shady woods, rich soil. Looks different from Coast Range thing. Stigma minute, very ::::::::: Tuolumne County. May 29, 1915. ----------  obscurely 2-lobed. No. 6293. Orthocarpus linearilobus Bth. Corolla pale sulphur-yellow, the 3 sacs of lower lip channeled a bit longitudinally so that each sac is shallowly 2-lobed. Stamens inserted very high in tube, the lower pair just below sac, the upper (shorter) pair just a little lower on tube opposite. Galea scarcely exceeding lower lip. Calyx-lobes almost filiform, dilated at whitish tip. Corolla-tube soft-hairy. Cont. below. No. 6294. Delphinium patens Benth. better -- D. gracilentum Greene. Flowers darkish purple, the upper petals white or nearly so. Lower pets. slightly hairy on upper side, cleft. No. 6295. Calochortus albus Dougl. Called "Snow Drops" here in the foothills almost universally, sometimes "Fairy Lanterns." - Orthocarpus linearilobus Bth. no. 6293, cont. from above. Teeth of lower lip very short, but scarcely surpassed by galea. Sacs almost deeper than high. Corolla lip merely puberulent.
