Conn Valley, Napa Range ---------- No. 6244. Trifolium amplectens var. stenophyllum Jepson [= T. amplectens var. truncatum] Conn Valley. No. 6245. Achryachaena mollis Conn Valley flat. No. 6246. Baeria Conn Valley hillsides amongst oaks, forming "the Persian carpet" of small annuals of uniform height, including Gilia (Linanthus) parviflora, Micropus, etc. No. 6247. Baccharis viminea D.C. [symbol for male] fls. with campulate throat to corolla, ovary 1/4 length of ovary in fertile flower; pappus bristles longer and more numerous than in fertile flower and with a short double bend at end or tip of pappus bristle. There is an abundance of this is Conn Creek from the Napa Valley floor to Conn Valley.
