No. 5846. Eschscholtzia minutiflora Wats. Very distinctinve thing.  Petas 2 to 2 2/3 lines long.  Mesas everywhere. Daggett. 2200 ft. No. 5847. Dalea mollis Benth.  Common in a wash near Daggett.  Stems and leaves sprinkled with black dot-like glands. No. 5848.  Yucca mohavensis Sarg. = Y. schidigera Roczl.  Mostly unbranched and 4 to 6 feet high.  The fibrous edge to the leaves used by birds in nest building, says Miss Waterman.  2600 ft. Very heavy with flowers; I have never before seen it loaded so. No. 5852. Dalea Johnsonii Wats. Flowers in technical chars just like thse previously described from washes south of Barstow [cf. no. 5831]. No. 5853. Nicotiana trigonophylla Dunal. Wash towards Ord. Mt. Cor. 8 lines long, limb 5 lines wide.  See p. 50. No. 5854. Senecio douglasii DC var. monoensis (greene) Jeps. Forming shrubby bushes 4 to 6 ft. h. in the washes. No. 5855. Hymenoclea salsola T. [&G] Shrubs making a great show of heads with silvery scarious scales.
