Title:
Jepson Field Book volume 28_112
Description:
Independence in Work I said to R.W. Peirson, apropos of Miss Laura McDermott and Dr. P.B. Kennedy: There is no reason why two investigators should not work on the same group at the same time so far as the interests of botanical science are concerned. Nor need they fear each other! Their work, if it is truly original and independent will not duplicate the one the other. It is impossible to duplicate, practically. -May, 1927. One reason for the sensitiveness is jealousy as to possible new species or new combinations. ::::::::: Place Names in the Berkeley Hills and Oakland Hills Glory Hole Canyon, opposite Redwood sta. Church bush Canon (Claremont Canyon, [?] up).
