Berkeley Hlls. Grass. Steep banks in colonies. [Bromus villosus var. gussonii Asch. & Gr.][Crossed out] No. 4050. Grass Scattered individuals. Phalaris minor Retz. No. 4051. Grass. one of the most abundant & widely distributed grasses in the Berkely HIlls and in the Bay region = Bromus hordeaceus L. = B. [Bromus] mollis. :::::::::  May 22, 1910. No. 4052. Festuca bromoides L. (det. Beecher Crampton, 1972) Grass Berkeley Hills. No. 4053. Hordeum geniculatum All. (det. Beecher Crampton, 1973) Grass. Colonies on wet worked hillsides or where water has been too much for other things - as very wet places in roadways = Hordeum [gussonianum Park.] [crossed out] - Walked out to Fish Ranch & turned south along the old wagon track running towards Moraga and go into the hills just north of Moraga.  The country is in fine condition this year.
