Also admitted, in response to my suggestion that there were other tree expert cos. around, that they were so-called tree experts but do not really know their business. He disinfects cavity with corrosive sublimate and also wood alcohol. Also observed in Hall's 6031 Eagle Mt. - L. fremontii Gray. Not included as Californian by Abrams, Trees & Shrubs. S. Cal. but Brandegee's Borregos Spr. and Signal Mt. Colo. Desert may be it. (Borregos Springs, 4/22/'95. - L. parishii Gray. Mesa, San Bernardino, S.B. Parish, 1895, Apr. seems closest to L. richii but is puberulent or pubescent. Calyx-lobes oblong, nearly equalling tube. - L. richii, Tuomey, Catalina, '94  Filaments very woolly below,
