Invol. very broad and short, 1 1/2 lines long, turbinate-bowl shaped, its teeth recurved, short and small. _ That is, the notes of dissections here. - E. sphaerocephalum Dougl. Per. very hairy outside, 4 lines l., the stipe-like base almost as long as upper portion. Fils. hairy on lower half. Per. segs. obovate, obtuse. -- Based on Yreka, Butter 1428.
