Brief Description:

This collection consists of materials documenting Joseph F. Rock’s 1932 expedition to western China and Tibet, sponsored by the University of California Botanical Garden. The collection contains four field notebooks, lists of determinations of plants collected by Rock, and a small amount of correspondence.  Areas visited by Rock on this trip  include Champutong on the slope of Mt. Kenichunpo,  Salween-Irrawadi  [Salwin-Irrawaddy] divide, Northwest Yunnan, Southeast Tibet, and Yangtze Loop.
